I think J2S is quite different with RAP because J2S converts java to javascript but RAP bridges java to javascript by AJAX and Java code need not be converted to javascript code. In RAP almost every event will be sent from browser to server on which the event will be handled by real java bytecode run on JVM, so you can debug your java code in eclipse both on RAP and RCP.

RAP uses qooxdoo as its widget library.
J2S has no relation with RAP and qooxdoo. J2S is just considered as similar to RAP/Qooxdoo technology

It may not be an easy way to use ColorDialog or FontDialog if you do not know about Java and Eclipse SWT.

Hi,
No doubt the software is good but little bit complecated to grasp
It convert the java swing(applet) code to html page on the fly but i am not sure about the functionality of the code such as the keyboard event and all.

There is another approach to implement JavaScript inheritance - a “lazy” inheritance which has all benefits of “prototype” based approach like typed classes, but also eliminates necessity to declare external scripts in proper order and automatically resolves and loads (if necessary) dependencies to external scripts that contains related classes.
This approach is supported by JSINER library - you can find more about it on http://www.soft-amis.com/jsiner/inheritance.html
